Israel-Hamas Conflict: Israel’s drone strike kills multiple militants

Israel-Hamas conflict entered day 46. IDF drone killed 4 Hamas terrorists in Lebanon, reported The Times of Israel. This came shortly after IDF struck Lebanon-based Hezbollah on Nov 21, in its response to missile attacks from Lebanon in Northern Israel. Israel claimed that multiple rockets were fired from Lebanon at Kiryat Shmona before IDF retaliated with artillery and tank shelling. As per a Lebanese Security Official, the Israeli strike occurred in Chaatiyeh village near. Mediterranean coast in Southern Lebanon. While Palestinian officials claimed the terrorists belonged to al-Qassam Brigades of Hamas’s military wing, no further details were revealed. Meanwhile, Lebanon’s pro-Hezbollah Al-Mayadeen television channel reported the death of 2 Lebanese journalists in the Israeli attack. The state-run National News Agency also alleged that 3 citizens in Tair Harfa area were killed in the retaliation. However, the IDF denied the allegations and said it only struck Hezbollah targets.

Kerala Blast: Multiple explosions rock prayer meeting in Kochi, IED device used

One person died and several more were injured after multiple explosions took place at a prayer meeting of Jehovah's Witnesses in the Kalamassery area of Kerala's Kochi on the morning of October 29. The first explosion took place around 9 a.m. and multiple blasts followed thereafter, over the next hour. More than 2,000 people were attending the prayer meeting when the blasts took place. The incident came a day after the former chief of the terrorist group Hamas, Khaled Mashal, virtually addressed a pro-Palestine protest amid the Israeli military offensive in Gaza. Director General of Police Shaik Darvesh said that the preliminary investigation showed that an IED device was used for the explosion. Further investigations are going on in this Kerala blast incident.

Hindustan Aeronautics delivers first LCA Tejas twin-seater aircraft to IAF

 Hindustan Aeronautics Limited handed over the first LCA Tejas twin-seater trainer version aircraft to IAF on Oct 04. MoS for Defence Ajay Bhatt, Air Chief Marshal VR Chaudhari were present at the LCA Tejas division plant. This historic event mark the achievement of a key milestone of producing LCA Twin Seater. It is designed with a strategic intent of graduating budding pilots from the Twin Seater variants to fighter Pilots. HAL has an order of 18 twin seater from IAF and is planning to deliver eight twin seater in FY 2023-24. Further, 10 Light Combat Aircraft twin seaters would be delivered progressively by 2026-27. LCA-Tejas is the largest R-D program ever undertaken in India that made its maiden flight in 2001. It is going to be the backbone of the IAF fleet in years to come and is slated to be produced in high numbers. HAL has already received an order for 123 aircraft out of which 32 fighters have been supplied to IAF. This adds India to the list of elite countries that have created such capabilities in their Defence Forces. LCA Tejas is the best platform for India to be a flag bearer to achieve export targets set by the government.
