On March 22, 2020, Mumbai's lifeline i.e. suburban local trains were totally shut down due to the first wave of the Covid-19 pandemic. The decision created lots of chaos and uncertainty for Mumbaikars. Now after a gap of 19 months, local train services will be restored fully to pre-Covid-19 level from October 28.
