AAP cadres staged a ‘Jail Ka Jawab Vote Se’ campaign near Laxmi Nagar in Delhi on April 27. The campaign was held against the arrest of Delhi Chief Minister and AAP National Convenor Arvind Kejriwal in connection with the Delhi excise policy case. The Mumbai Crime Branch has arrested 2 suspects involved in the shooting outside Salman Khan's residence in Bandra. The victims who are identified as Vicky Gupta and Sagar Pal were arrested from Bhuj in Gujarat where they had escaped after the incident. Gupta and Pal belong to Champaran in Bihar. They are now being brought to Mumbai for further questioning about their motive and if they were tasked by someone to carry the shooting..For the unversed, on 14th of April, a shooting happened in the early hours of Sunday after motorcycle-borne shooters opened fire outside Galaxy Apartments. Police said the suspects had their faces covered and the incident was a planned one. A total of four rounds were fired by the accused and a live cartridge was recovered from the spot. Khan was present in his home at the time of the incident, the police said, adding that the bullets were fired into the air. "The shooters have been captured in CCTV footage at the Bandra railway station" said the Police. In the CCTV footage, the shooters were seen firing towards the actor's house. The accused were carrying bags and wore helmets. Sunday's incident is reportedly linked to the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, which has previously threatened Salman Khan.

In a big win for NIA, two suspects of the Rameshwaram Café blast were nabbed from Kolkata on April 12. Mussavir Hussain Shazib, Abdul Matheen Taha were allegedly involved in Rameshwaram Café blast. Mussavir Hussain Shazib is accused of planting the IED inside the Rameshwaram Café. On the other hand, Abdul Matheen Taha is said to be the mastermind of the attack. The NIA had declared rewards of Rs 10 lakh on each of the absconders. NIA, Central Agencies and police force of several states worked together to nab the accused. The cafe in Bengaluru's Whitefield area was jolted by a low-intensity blast on March 1. The case was handed over to the NIA on March 3, following the NIA team’s visit to the blast site. Watch video.

Sanjay Singh was released from Delhi’s Tihar Jail on bail on April 3. The ED on April 2, informed the SC that the agency has no objection to Sanjay Singh getting bail. A bench led by Justice Sanjiv Khanna directed the release of Sanjay Singh . Bail was granted during pendency of trial in a money laundering case relating to excise policy irregularities. Aam Admi Party supremo Arvind Kejriwal has become the first sitting Chief Minister to be lodged in Tihar Jail. The Rouse Avenue Court sent AAP supremo to judicial custody till April 15 in the Delhi excise policy case. As per ED, Kejriwal was shown evidence of more than 10 meetings of Vijay Nair with other co-accused persons involved in liquor business. During hearing, ED told Court that Kejriwal had admitted Vijay Nair of reporting only to party leaders Atishi, Saurabh Bharadwaj. Stand-up comedian and Bigg Boss 17 winner Munawar Faruqui is yet again in limelight. Let us tell you that the Bigg Boss 17 winner along with 13 other people were detained by Mumbai police on Mar 26. They were detained in a late-night raid from a hookah parlour in the Fort area in south Mumbai. Munawar was one of the popular contestants of the 17th season of the Bigg Boss house. According to the Mumbai Police, a case was registered against Faruqui and 13 more people. The raid, prompted by a tip-off received by the SS branch, targeted the hookah bar situated at Bora Bazar, falling within the jurisdiction of MRA Marg police station. After verifying that tobacco was being smoked, an offence was registered under the Cigarettes and Other Tobacco Products Act However, the stand up comedian was later let off after the case was lodged. A police officer said that since it was a bailable offence, the accused were not imprisoned.
