Security beefed up in Ayodhya as the city gears up for the grand consecration ceremony of the Ram Temple on January 22. Speaking on security arrangements in Ayodhya, Prashant Kumar, UP Special DG of Law & Order, said on January 21 that over 13,000 personnel have been deployed for the Ayodhya Ram Mandir consecration mega event. He also stated that over 10,000 CCTV cameras have been installed. He went on to say that the smooth completion of the Pran Pratishtha Ceremony is both a challenge and an opportunity for the Uttar Pradesh Police. The ceremony scheduled for January 22 will witness the installation of the idol of Ram Lalla at the grand temple. It is expected to be attended by hundreds of officials, including Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

The terrifying assassination of Gangster Sanjeev Jeeva took place inside the Lucknow Civil Court on June 7, minutes before the hearing. The BJP leader Brahm Dutt Dwivedi’s murder accused was shot dead amid tight security by an imposter. The assailant who was disguised as an advocate injured two security persons deployed in the security of Jeeva. A lady, her mother, and the assailant himself were injured during the incident. They were later admitted to King George's Medical College for treatment. The injured policemen who had a narrow escape narrated the horrifying incident. Meanwhile, the Vice-Chancellor of King George's Medical College Dr. Bipin Puri said that all of them are stable. As per police, a three-member committee has been formed to probe into the matter.

Big moist attack happened in Chhattisgarh on April 26. Vehicle carrying DRG personnel and 10 Jawans were killed in a maoist attack. One driver who was carrying the security personnel was also killed in an IED blast. The incident took place in Dantewada. “Maoists won’t be spread,” said CM Bhagel after the attack. Home minister also contacted CM Bhagel. Combing operations are still underway in Chhattisgarh.
