In power in the Maharashtra government now, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has decided to target the Shiv Sena’s dream projects in Mumbai. One of these is former minister Aaditya Thackeray’s cycle track around Powai lake; others include the Ashray Scheme—housing for conservancy staff, and upgradation of seven sewage treatment plants, in all around five projects worth approximately Rs 48,000 crore.
07 July,2022 10:03 PM IST | MumbaiMumbai civic body, the BMC has proposed to set up two sewage treatment plants for Dahisar river and five for Oshiwara. The Dahisar river is 13 km long, out of which 4.7 km is outside SGNP and falls under the BMC’s jurisdiction. There will be two sewage treatment plants of capacity 1.5 MLD and 5 MLD at Dahisar. The Oshiwara river is 7.3 km long and will have five sewage treatment plants with a combined capacity of 20.5 MLD. The administration has proposed to give the contract to SK-SP associates at a cost of Rs 376 crore and to M/S Shapurji Palanji and Konark at a total cost of Rs 928 crore. Watch the video to know more
