Our Constitution is secular, laws of the land can't be formed on the basis of religion. BJP has clearly said in its manifesto that it will bring the Uniform Civil Code (UCC)...We scrapped Triple Talaq and started UCC & we will take this forward. Rahul Gandhi speaks of Personal Law, which is about dividing the country...Personal Laws can't be implemented in this country".

On April 17, BJP Lok Sabha candidate from Hyderabad constituency Madhavi Latha, criticized the Telangana government over police denying permission for Ram Navami Shobha Yatra of BJP MLA Raja Singh. Talking to the media, Madhavi Latha said that they gave permission for Ramadan celebrations but denied permission for Shobha Yatra citing Model Code of Conduct. “Ramadan was also during the time of election code. In a historic milestone, indigenous LCA Mark 1A fighter aircraft on March 28 completed its first flight. The aircraft airborne for 15 minutes during its first maiden flight, as per Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL). Currently, two squadrons of IAF, 45 Squadron and 18 Squadron, are fully operational with LCA Tejas. HAL has current capacity to build 8 LCA aircraft per year, this is being increased to 16 aircraft's every year by 2025. In coming years the capacity will be further increased to 24 aircraft every year in the next 3 years. Over Rs 9000 crore have been sanctioned for the development of LCA Mk 2, an updated and advanced version of LCA Tejas. Earlier in the 2023, Air Chief Marshal stated that the Indian Air Force aims to replace the MiG-21 fighter jets with LCA Tejas.

A group of people allegedly attacked foreign students in one of the hostels of Gujarat University Ahmedabad on March 16. Police informed that the scuffle broke out as the foreign students were offering Namaz in the hostel premises. Ahmedabad Police Commissioner Gyanendra Singh Malik informed that stones were pelted and some hostel rooms were damaged. “Around 300 foreign students study here in Gujarat University. Some of them are from African nations, some are from Sri Lanka, some from Afghanistan. In the A block of the hostel, around 75 students live. Some were offering Namaz around 10:30 pm yesterday. Some 20-25 men came and asked them why are they offering Namaz here and it should be done in Masjid. On this, a heated argument and scuffle broke out. Stones were pelted, rooms were damaged. Police immediately responded and FIR was lodged. Strict action will be taken against persons involved. One person is identified. Rest will also be identified soon. The law and order situation here is under control,” he informed.
