Former Pakistani diplomat Husain Haqqani has given advice to Pak government to improve relations with India. In a post on X, Haqqani wrote about the attacks that had been carried out against India. He addressed the people complaining about India’s hardening attitude towards Pakistan. Haqqani reminded them of Kargil War, Kashmir insurgency, attack on Indian Parliament, and horrors of 26/11 Mumbai attacks. Former Pak Ambassador to US, Husain advised Pakistan to ‘accept’ the results to make dialogue honest with India. “Some in Pakistan are complaining about hardening Indian attitudes towards Pakistan. It is result of Kashmir insurgency (1989-2019), Kargil (1999), Parliament attack (2001), Mumbai terror attack (2008), & much more. Accepting that might make dialogue honest & easier,” Husain Haqqani wrote in a post on X. Both the nuclear-armed countries have fought three wars since independence from Britain in 1947. On several instances, like Mumbai attacks, 2001 Parliament attack, the ties between the two nations have worsened. Also, the Kashmir conflict and Pakistan’s continuous terror-sponsoring have fueled enmity between the countries.

Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff unveiled the trailer of Bade Miyan Chote Miyan on Tuesday. There has been a significant upgrade in Mumbai’s infrastructure in the recent times and a brand new RO-RO ferry survive is the latest addition. A new Vasai-Bhayandar Ro-Ro ferry service will be running on a regular basis from 21st February between Vasai and Bhayandar that is going to cut down the commute time between the two destinations to 15 minutes. This is the second RoRo service in the MMR. The first one operates on the Ferry Wharf and Mandwa route. The newly-inaugurated service will ply eight times a day. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, President of Sri Lanka Ranil Wickremesinghe, and Prime Minister of Mauritius Pravind Jugnauth on February 12 witnessed the launch of Unified Payment Interface (UPI) services in Sri Lanka and Mauritius, and also RuPay card services in Mauritius, via video conferencing. The launch will enable the availability of UPI settlement services for Indian nationals travelling to Sri Lanka and Mauritius as well as for Mauritian nationals travelling to India. The extension of RuPay card services in Mauritius will enable Mauritian banks to issue cards based on the RuPay mechanism in Mauritius and facilitate usage of RuPay Card for settlements both in India and Mauritius.
