India’s former Ambassador to the US Taranjit Singh Sandhu joined Bharatiya Janata Party on March 19. He joined the party in the presence of BJP’s National General Secretary Vinod Tawde. Taranjit finished his mission as a diplomat in the US on January 3. Taranjit Singh Sandhu is likely to be fielded from the Amritsar Lok Sabha seat. Veteran Leader from the Congress party Baba Siddique on Feb 10 joined NCP in presence of Maharashtra Deputy CM Ajit Pawar .This came after he officially resigned from Congress putting an end to his 48 years of journey with the party. During his speech, he claimed that ‘perception politics’ was being done in Congress. Siddique, a former legislator from Bandra (west), is the second big face to quit the grand-old party before the 2024 Lok Sabha Polls. In January, Milind Deora exited from the party to join Shiv Sena led by Chief Minister Eknath Shinde.
