Torres missed the Blues’ clashes with Schalke and and West Brom after picking up a leg injury in training and has not recovered in time to be included for today’s match.

In the Spaniard’s absence, Samuel Eto’o is once again expected to lead the line and will look to continue the run of form which has seen him find the net in each of his last two matches. Mourinho also confirmed that Ashley Cole is in contention to start against West Ham after losing his place at left-back to Cesar Azpilicueta as a result of a poor performance against Newcastle.
