Pune Warriors thrashed Kings XI Punjab by seven wickets in their maiden Indian Premier League match at the DY Patil Stadium here Sunday.

The new entrants restricted Punjab to 112/8 with Alfonso Thomas (2-27) and Shrikanth Wagh (3-16) doing the damage.

Jesse Ryder (31), Mithum Manhas (35), Robin Uthappa (22 not out) and Yuvraj Singh (21 not out) all contributed with the bat to complete the chase in just 13.1 overs.
