After Indian Premier League's suspended commissioner Lalit Modi, the heat is on the former Board of Control for Cricket in India president Sharad Pawar.

Allegations of his alleged involvements in various IPL franchisees are coming thick and fast on a daily basis.

Pawar was first cornered for his stake in the unsuccessful Pune IPL team bid and now reports suggest that the NCP supremo has some business interest in the parent company of the Royal Challengers Bangalore, a franchise owned by liquor baron Vijay Mallya.

All eyes are on Pawar because he is on the verge of taking charge as president of the International Cricket Council (ICC) at the end of this month.

However according to reports from London, if the Indian politician is indicted in any wrongdoing, then there is a possibility of the current ICC president David Morgan being granted an extended run for a few more months.

Meanwhile, the Indian government has collected a lot of damning papers against Pawar. And if sources are to be believed, reports of the former BCCI president's stake in the Pune IPL team bid are only a sample.

Meanwhile, in the wake of the recent developments, Modi better brace up to face more heat from the Indian cricket board. For, the BCCI has adopted a tough stance on the IPL controversies and will not spare anyone found guilty because they fear the Board's control to be taken away by the government and don't want that to happen at any cost.

BCCI officials have grouped together to teach Modi a lesson because they feel he has goofed up and is now throwing stones at them.

Unofficially, the government has conveyed a clear-cut message to the BCCI: Come what may, Modi has to go. And, anyone who's trying to support the former IPL chief is not welcome in the BCCI.
