After over two months of non-stop cricketing action, the Royal Challengers Bengaluru have finally triumphed in the league by lifting the trophy on Tuesday night at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. In a nerve-wracking final between RCB and Punjab Kings, RCB edged over PBKS by just a mere margin of six runs, giving them their first IPL. Considering that this season was nothing short of a roller coaster ride, which had almost everything from some great bowling spells to some breathtaking batting performances. However, there were some consistent performances by players which also earned them a national call-up.

Season Awards
Fairplay Award: Yet again CSK showed what the real spirit of the game is. Even though this might not be the season they wanted, they did bag the Fairplay Award.
Emerging Player of the Season: An award made especially for the youngsters, this season has been grabbed by Sai Sudharsan, who has also earned the India call-up recently.
Catch of the Season: Sri Lankan all-rounder Kamindu Mendis has been awarded the catch of the season award. The Sunrisers Hyerdrebad player took a screamer in the mid-wicket which surely defied all the laws of physics.
Orange Cap: The Orange Cap is an award that is given to the batsman who has scored the highest number of runs in the season. However, it never seemed that someone could get the orange cap off from Sai Sudarshan. Sai Sudarshan, while playing for Gujarat Titans, scored 759 runs in the entire season.
Purple Cap: The silent assassin who goes by the nickname of 'skiddy', Prasidh Krishna bagged the purple cap in the 2025 season by clinching 25 wickets.
Most Valuable Player: Indian T20 captain and Mumbai Indians superstar Suryakumar Yadav was awarded the Most Valuable Player. SKY scored 717 runs in the 2025 season with a decent strike rate, making him the winner of this award.
IPL 2025 Final Awards
Player of the Match in Final: Krunal Pandya for RCB in the penultimate match was simply amazing. With the bowling figures 4-0-17-2, he was the reason PBKS were unable to chase down the target.
Super Striker of the Match in the Final: With his gutsy and eventful batting during the end of the RCB innings, Jitesh Sharma was awarded the Super Striker of the Match.
Super Sixes in the Final: One PBKS player who stood out of the ordinary and tried his best to chase down the total was Shashank Singh. Singh, while 61 runs were scored, hit six maximums, which earned him the Super Sixes of the Match award in the final.
On the Go Fours in Final: Priyansh Arya, the young southpaw from Punjab Super Kings, was awarded the On the Go Fours Award.
Green Dot Ball in Final: Krunal Pandya, with his economical bowling, grabbed the Green Dot Ball in Final award by bowling the most numbers of dot balls in the entire match.
This IPL was something that will surely be remembered for a lot of great innings, fierce bowling spells, and some spectacular catches. However, with RCB finally lifting the trophy after 18 years and Virat Kohli having tears in his eyes, it was just like a Bollywood rom-com concluding on a happy note.
