Indian T20I skipper Suryakumar Yadav is known for his friendly demeanor off the field and his incredible sense of humour. The same was on display on Thursday, October 2, as he was seen interacting with fans and being swarmed around by his supporters for photos and autographs.

Suryakumar was patient enough and gave time to his fans to take pictures with him, and then went towards his car. While sitting in his car, he jokingly mentioned whether anyone wanted a lift to be dropped home.

Here's what Suryakumar Yadav said:

"Koi nazdik rehta to ghar chhod deta (If anyone lived close by, I would have dropped them home)."

The comment was met with a round of laughter from the people who had gathered. Suryakumar had once again lived up to his reputation of being someone who was able to tickle some bones. Here's a video of the heartfelt interaction:

Suryakumar Yadav's Asia Cup performance

While Suryakumar Yadav continued to win hearts off the field, his form on the field has come under the scanner of late. India managed to beat Pakistan by five wickets in a thrilling encounter in the Asia Cup final to win their ninth title. However, SKY's personal form hasn't quite been as great as he would have wanted.

In six innings in the Asia Cup, Suryakumar Yadav scored just 72 runs at a poor average of 18 with a strike rate of just over a run-a-ball and a highest score being that of 47* against Pakistan. His being one of the mainstays in India's T20I team for a while now makes it imperative for the Men in Blue to find a way to get him firing ahead with a home T20 World Cup just a few months away.

India had some major stars coming out of the Asia Cup, but none bigger than Abhishek Sharma. The explosive southpaw scored a staggering 314 runs in the tournament at an average of 44.85 and was one of the main reasons why India ended up so dominant in the tournament. Tilak Varma played a sensational knock of 69* under pressure in the final and proved he had top-class temperament in him.
