Mumbai girl Ahana Shah won a bronze medal yesterday with a score of four points out of five in the U-7 category of the 2017 Kenilworth Junior Open Rapid Chess Tournament in the UK.

Ahana, a second grade student of the Dhirubhai Ambani International School in Mumbai, was the only unrated participant competing with other boys and girls having an ECF rating as high as 36 and 42. At the end of the fifth round, Ahana had accumulated four points and was tied with Muthuvelu Rithvik and Dicen Elis. She settled for bronze due to her progressive scores.
