Annu Raj wins silver at World Cup

Pistol shooter Annu Raj Singh won the silver 10 metres air pistol event at the World Cup at Fort Benning, US, and became the fifth Indian shooter to qualify for the 2012 London Olympics.

According to information received here, Annu Raj shot an overall 486.6 (389 qualifying and 97.6 final) to finish second behind Ukraine's Olena Kostevych, who won the gold with an overall 489.4 (389 qualifying and 110.4 final). Frenchwoman Celine Goberville won the bronze with 486.3 (388 qualifying and 98.3 final).
