Denmark's Caroline Wozniacki has advanced to her first Australian Open final over Belgian Elise Mertens here at the Melbourne Park on Thursday. The second seed thrashed Mertens, world number 37 with a 6-3 7-6 (7-2) victory to edge closer to win her first Grand Slam title.


Wozniacki will next face top seed Simona Halep or 2016 winner Angelique Kerber in the summit clash.
