Ies VN Sule Guruji's Om Jadhav scored an unbeaten 155 to put his school in command on Day One of the MSSA Harris Shield Elite Division semi-final against IES Raja Shivaji Vidyalaya (Dadar)

Sule Guruji ended the day on 327-6 in 81 overs. Om’s knock was laced with 21 boundaries. He went in to bat at No 4, after they lost openers — Yash Bhojane (46) and Aakash Savla (22) and remained steady even as wickets kept falling at regular intervals around him. Raja Shivaji’s left-arm spinner Aditya Doiphode was the pick of the bowlers with 4-64 in 26 overs.

Meanwhile, at the end of day’s play, defending champions Rizvi Springfield (Bandra) were 202-6 against Anjuman-I-Islam (Urdu) in the other semi-final. Prithvi Shaw, who made a record-breaking 546, was caught and bowled by Shahid Pathan for 43. Shubham Verma was the highest scorer for Rizvi with 73 runs. Pathan scalped four Rizvi wickets giving away 46 runs in 11 overs.
