Halfway into the final of the 113th edition of the Harris Shield inter-school cricket tournament, Rizvi Springfield (Bandra) have their heads held high. Chasing first innings total of 191 set by IES VN Sule Guruji (Dadar), Rizvi were 281 for two at the end of Day Two in the four-day fixture at Bombay Gymkhana.
Although his physique doesn't allow him to go for big strokes, he feels he will get over the hurdle with time. The youngster was exceptional in nudging the ball around and stealing those cheeky singles while leaving Sarfaraz to go after the bowlers. The duo was involved in a vital 113-runu00a0 stand.
Arman said, "I have to stick to the basics as I do not have the power to hit the ball over the top. I will aim to stay at the wicket the whole day tomorrow and complete my century."
Being made to sit on the sidelines for a couple of games was frustrating for Arman. But he made the most of it when given a chance in the semi-final, scoring an impressive 87.
"I was feeling very bad. All my friends were getting runs. If I was given a chance even I would have scored. I am happy I am playing well now," Arman said.
