The merger process between Hockey India and the Indian Hockey Federation was stalled yesterday due to issues pertaining to power sharing and the World Series Hockey.

The talks failed following a series of meetings in the presence of sports ministry officials. IHF secretary Ashok Mathur said: "Power sharing and World Series Hockey turned out to be the major road-blocking issues.
We wanted some more clarifications on WSH and power sharing. Our members wanted more power in the unified body which they disagreed."
