Tennis star Sania Mirza today said that the presence of a huge number of moths during her singles final match against Anastasia Rodionova of Australia distracted her.

Sania lost a thriller in three sets 6-3, 2-6, 7-6 (7-3).

"I have been playing in Delhi for a number of years now. I have never seen so many insects flying around at the tennis courts. There were huge moths and a variety of insects," Sania told the reporters during a press conference today.

"Yes, it's a big distraction when you are playing an important match. Some insects get into your mouth, some in your nose and it can be disturbing," said the Hyderabadi girl whose comments could leave the organisers red-faced.
