Top seed Jagadeesh Kalaga of Andhra Pradesh won the Under-17 boys singles title, while Aakarshi Kashyap bagged twin crownes in the Under-15 and Under-17 girls singles category at the PNB MetLife Junior Badminton Championship

New Delhi: Top seed Jagadeesh Kalaga of Andhra Pradesh won the Under-17 boys singles title, while Aakarshi Kashyap bagged twin crownes in the Under-15 and Under-17 girls singles category at the PNB MetLife Junior Badminton Championship Season 2 National Finals, in New Delhi on Thursday.

In Under-17 boys singles, Jagadeesh defeated seventh seed Deep Rambhiya from Maharashtra 21-15 19-21 21-15 to lift the trophy.
In Under-15 girls singles category, Aakarshi beat second seed Malvika Bansod of 21-13 21-13 to win the title.


It was double celebration for Aakarshi over Malavika as she defeated her same opponent in the Under-17 final with a 21-19 21-23 21-18 scoreline.
