Inspired by the brilliance of international Bhagyashree Dalvi, Maharashtra made a winning start as they registered a thumping 8-0 victory against Chhattisgarh in their opening group match of the AIFF National Junior Women's Football Championship at Cuttack, Odisha recently.

Bhagyashree impressed with five goals and also had a hand in the other three as Maharashtra dominated the proceedings and completely outplayed their opponents. Former Junior India captain Karen Pais netted two goals while Tricia Colaco added one to round off the tally.
