Lomu in hospital after health scare

All Blacks legend Jonah Lomu was in a stable condition in Auckland Hospital's kidney ward, the Herald yesterday reported.

The newspaper said that the Auckland District Health Board had confirmed that the giant winger was in the hospital's renal and liver transplant ward, but released no further details on his condition.

Lomu's wife Nadene said, "All I can say is my husband is stable and until we know exactly what's wrong, we are not prepared to comment."
