Aditya Maheshwari enjoyed a successful day with quarter-final wins in the men's and men's 35 plus category singles events of the Winter Squash Open organised by Indian Squash Professional (ISP) at Juhu Vile Parle Gymkhana Club.
Maheshwari showed great skills to ward off the spirited challenge from Puneet Pareek and carve out a deserving 8-11, 13-11, 8-11, 11-7, 14-12 win to advance to the semi-final. Earlier, the top-seeded Mahaeshwari faced a tough fight from Sachin Jadhav before pulling off a keenly contested 11-7, 11-9, 11-8 victory in the men's 35 plus category.
In other men's singles quarter-final action, second seed Abhishek Agarwal also booked his place in the semi-final by defeating Karan Mirchandani 11-3, 11-9, 11-8. Amitpal Singh Kohli joined Maheshwari in the semi-final round of the men's singles 35 plus category.
