Mishal Bahl starts inter-school squash in style

The decision of St Gregorios School's Mishal Bahl to quit tennis and play squash has finally paid off.

Yesterday, Mishal beat Maank Chhabria of St Mary's ICSE (Mazgoan) 11-5, 11-9 to advance to the second round in the under-16 boys' MSSA-Nike Inter-School Squash tournament at the Police Gymkhana.

Besides squash, Mishal is part of the Chembur school's football, volleyball and basketball teams. While playing tennis for a month Mishal realised that he loved squash more.

Eyeing last four
""I didn't participate in inter-school squash last year as I was not confident and ready. I trained hard this year and will give my 100 per cent to make it to the semis at least," he promised.

Though he no longer plays tennis, Mishal follows the sport intensely. He idolises Roger Federer and was thrilled to watch him conquer Andy Murray in Sunday's Australian Open final.
