Obama gets slammed after Chicago loses 2016 Olympic bid

"The president of the US raced to Denmark to lobby to have his hometown, Chicago, host the 2016 Olympics and came home with his tail between his legs," howled an editorial in the New York Post. The White House insisted Barack Obama's dash to the Danish capital was the right decision. The Games were awarded to Rio de Janeiro.
