Paris: India's doubles ace Leander Paes, partnering Australian Open Grand Slam champion Stanislas Wawrinka, beat Feliciano Lopez-Max Mirnyi 6-1, 2-6, 10-7 in a gruelling three-setter at BNP Paribas Masters yesterday.
The Indo-Swiss pair had an easy first set, but Lopez and Mirnyi came back stronger to clinch the second set. Paes and Wawrinka had to dig deep in the third set to win the match.
