Andheri resident Siddharth Parikh was recently awarded the gold medal (English Billiards 100 Up—Men) at the first-ever ACBS Billiards Sports Championship held in UAE.
The competition, which was held at Al-Fujiarah from September 24 to October 2, saw 36-year-old Parikh storm through the Round Robin stages to the top of Group A, beating both Sasan Lashkari (IND) and Tion Wen Shun (China) 3-0.
"It feels great to finally win my first international gold—the first one is always special," said Parikh.
