Rio de Janeiro-s Mayor Eduardo Paes lashed out yesterday at the city-s Olympics organising committee, accusing it of "serious problems" in managing the crisis-plagued athletes- village.

Rio de Janeiro: Rio de Janeiro-s Mayor Eduardo Paes lashed out yesterday at the city-s Olympics organising committee, accusing it of "serious problems" in managing the crisis-plagued athletes- village.

Then the organising committee took charge for three months, and there were extremely serious management problems.

During those three months, people intruded into the apartments and things were stolen," he said.
