Sachin Yadav followed his first innings ton with a gritty, unbeaten half-century (70) to help Sunil Gavaskar XI to a second innings total of 188-4 in 41 overs against Andhra Pradesh on Day Two of the under-23 Madhav Mantri Trophy yesterday.

Batsman Pranav Menon (42) complemented Sachin well as Gavaskar XI were leading by 245 runs at the end of the day's play.


Meanwhile, Andhra, resuming on their overnight score of 32- 2, were bowled out for 193 in their first innings, with DB Prasanth (67) and T Vamsi Krishna (40) emerging as chief scorers.



For Gavaskar XI, Vijay Gohil bagged 5-65. Earlier, Gavaskar XI scored 250 in their first essay.
