India's Sania Mirza fell 18 places to be 77th in the Women's Tennis Association (WTA) singles rankings released Monday.

Sania has earned just one win in her five singles outings this season. She reached the second round in Auckland but lost in the first round in Hobart, Australian Open, and last week's Pattaya Open. On Monday, she suffered a first round loss at the Dubai Tennis Championships.

The 23-year-old Hyderabadi also slipped three places in the doubles rankings for a 36th place.

In the men's singles, Somdev Devvarman remained at last week's ranking of 141 while US-based Indian Prakash Amritraj lost three places to be at 226th.

In the doubles, Leander Paes and Mahesh Bhupathi were unchanged at the seventh and eighth positions.
