Tabhane breaks own national skating mark at state meet

Thane's Nikhilesh Tabhane prove he is miles ahead of of competition by breaking his own national record in Rink 3 time trial (300m) in the Inline Category to clinch the gold medal at the Maharashtra State Roller Skating Championship at the Ameya Classic Club in Virar over the weekend.

The 22-year-old, who has been adopted by the Virar club for further training, broke his own previous record by 0.20 seconds, finishing at 25.62 seconds.

Tabhane’s domination was such that the second best skater in the category — Vikram Ingle of Pune — finished almost a second behind — 26.28 sec.
