Tristan helps St Pius beats St Mary's

Tristan Fernandes of St Pius X (Mulund) gave his team its first victory in the Mumbai Schools Sports Association boys under-14 inter-school football tournament against St Mary's ICSE at Azad Maidan yesterday.



Apart from scoring one himself, he also won his team a penalty in the latter stages of the opening half. Pius eventually won 2-1.

Pint-sized Fernandes claimed that it was hard work and things got more complicated with the wet outfield. "It was a good game and we had to work extremely hard. Our defenders did well to restrict them to just one goal," said Tristan.
