Second seed Yohan Pandole stormed into the boys' under-15 quarter-finals of the Raju Chainani Junior Squash Championship, organised by the Indian Squash Professionals under the auspices of the Squash Racquets Association of Maharashtra at the National Sports Club of India yesterday.
Yohan thumped Keshav Iyyer with a scoreline of 11-2, 11-9 to set up a last eight clash with Siddharth Mohan, who defeated Shikhar Soni 11-5, 11-7 in a second round match.
Fourth seed Kunj Rawani, who after getting a first round bye, got the better of Madhav Gupta 11-7, 11-4. He will take on Harsh Wadhwa for a place in the semi-finals.
In an exciting match, Adit Bhansali was stretched to three games by Rohaan Advani. After losing the first game 6-11, Adit clawed his way back to win the next two games 13-11, 11-9.
In the boys' under-13 pre- quarter-finals, Aryan Hemdev was in his best form as he dispatched qualifier Sachit Poddar 11-4, 11-1, while Yash Randive beat Amen Kumbhani 13-11, 11-7.
