German tennis player Alexander Zverev dismissed the 450,000 euro fine ($475,300) handed to him for allegedly assaulting a woman in May 2020 as “bullshit” on Wednesday.

“I think it’s complete bullshit,” said World No. 9, after his second-round victory in the Paris Masters.
“Anybody that has semi-standard IQ levels knows what this is all about,” he said. Zverev has been “accused of physically abusing a woman and damaging her health during an argument” in the German capital over three years ago, said a spokeswoman for the Berlin courts on Tuesday.
