Childhood friends held while driving a stolen motorcycle
Auto-lifting is a cakewalk for them. And they have been doing it past 18 years.
Best friends Sanjay Kumar, 37, and Kiran Kumar, 35, have been together since school and even dropped out at the same time. Both evolved from drug business to car lifting in no time. And finally got arrested together on Sunday.
The police nabbed the accused while they were riding a stolen motorcycle at Mangal Bazaar Chowk in northwest Delhi. When questioned the duo failed to produce the proof of ownership of the vehicle and were immediately taken into custody. Also, a knife was recovered from their possession.
During interrogation the two revealed that they had stolen the motorcycle and were heading to the bazaar from Maurya Enclave. They also confessed to have stolen a Maruti car from Adarsh Nagar. According to police, the accused are childhood friends and were drug addicts. They got into auto-lifting racket to earn easy money.u00a0 A case has been registered against them.
