If you are looking to spend an evening dedicated to wining and dining, head to the third annual Pune Wine Tasting Festival organised by the Pune Gourmet Club. Formed by a group of food and wine enthusiasts in 2006, they aim to familiarise the people of the city with wine appreciation.

"Punekaris can look forward to tasting a range of new wines. Plus, the food court will also be much larger this year," states event coordinator B Shankaranarayan. You can dig into a mouth-watering variety of cuisine ranging from Chettinad to European, Oriental, Lebanese and North Indian cuisine.u00a0
Watch out for the complete seafood barbeque where you can enjoy unique culinary combinations courtesy the Maharashtra Institute of Hotel Management. It will includes dishes such as Barracuda Steaks, Surmai Steaks with Jumbo prawns, Whole Fish Balinese style as well as Red Snapper Fish (Lal Pari).
Apart from food and wine, there will be several art works on display by artists like Milind Mullick, Falguni Gokhale and Bharati Chitre. Dipti Dharia will actually be painting live for art lovers.
"Pune is being recognised as a wine center and is a growing market for Indian and imported wines. There is definitely a shift in wine-drinking habits and it is becoming popular among the middle-class as well," concludes Shankaranarayan.
