Why can't Kristen Bell stop waxing about her When in Rome co-star Josh Duhamel?

Describe the character you play in When in Rome.

Beth is a cynic and, uh, a workaholic, to which I can very much relate. Secretly, she hides all her vulnerability and hasn't found anyone who has swept her off her feet. So, she refuses to believe in love.

How was working with co-star Josh Duhamel?
Josh is wonderful to work with and so much more of an actor than anyone really knows. He's so handsome, and he's funny as hell. Josh also has great ideas. He does so much work on the character the night before he comes on set that his dedication shows. He's fun loving; he's like my big brother. Josh is the eye candy of the movie. I'm excited that people will finally see his comic side. I think he's really talented.

What was working with Mark Steven Johnson like?
He is unbelievably collaborative and really makes this movie what it is. He is full of good ideas all the time. This film is so funny, because he has taken everybody's individual characters and let them create, which doesn't always happen on a movie. Usually, the director has a very specific idea of what he wants. It's not that Mark doesn't. It's just that he is very open to collaboration.

There are times where he'll do a couple of more takes, because the whole of When In Rome crew is laughing, which is a pretty amazing feeling. It makes you feel like you have the best job in the world.

What happens to Beth?
If you take coins from the fountain, you have to satisfy the wish of the person who threw them in. So, when Beth takes the coins, all five of the people (who dropped those coins) happened to wish for love. So, she becomes the focus of their entire world.

How was working with other co-stars, such as Dax Shepard, Will Arnett, Jon Heder, Danny DeVito and Anjelica Houston?
I sometimes can't stop laughing on the sets of When in Rome, because they're all so funny. It's difficult for me not to hold back my laughter. When they were doing my coverage, I would be giggling away. I mean it. I was really lucky to be working alongside all these guys.

It was a little intimidating at first, but I think I held my own. And they all add a lot more testosterone to this romantic comedy, which balance out the sweetness. Guys can come see the film with their girlfriends and not sleep through it. Guys who aren't interested in romantic comedies might actually like this one. That's what we're hoping for.

When in Rome releases on April 2
