The 28-year-old actor, who plays the titular superhero in "The Amazing Spider-Man", said he worked very hard to ensure he is believable in the role.
"I was hoping I could be believable and I worked very hard to bring up all the feelings I had when I was 17, which are horrible feelings to deal with.
"But I do look young and that's a blessing and a curse, too, so it's up to people to decide whether they want to believe it or not, but I believed and felt like a kid. And that was tough," Garfield said.
