Dinesh also battles a rare brittle bone disease Osteogenesis Imperfecta that has left him crippled. Gupta's wife passed away in 2006 without knowing of Dinesh's sexual preferences.
Gupta, who since found out, has been supportive of his son's preferences. Dinesh is ecstatic. "I hope this Act will help many others like come out of the closet and tell their families.
The ruling has also instilled confidence in me to find someone to support my script. I may even be able to find a partner as well. There are so many exciting possibilities now."
