Kolkata: Trinamool Congress general secretary and former railway minister Mukul Roy, who has been summoned by the CBI in the Saradha scam, Wednesday said he will appear for questioning before the agency Jan 30.
Roy has been visiting Delhi frequently following the CBI summons. Upon his arrival in Kolkata, he assured of his cooperation with the probe agency against which the Mamata Banerjee-led West Bengal government as well as the ruling Trinamool have moved the Supreme Court alleging it was an instrument of the BJP-led central government.
"Today I have returned to Kolkata and like I have reportedly said I will cooperate with the probe agency. I have been asked to appear before the CBI Jan 30, and I will appear before them on that day and participate in the probe," Roy told mediapersons here.
