"You may not know how to use bait or how to net fish, but that should not stop you from enjoying fresh catch from the sea," says Kiran Shriyan, owner of Fishetarian, a new service that promises to deliver fresh fish to your doorstep in less than an hour.
"Fish and rice is the staple diet for those living in coastal areas.
And even though it's an expensive diet to maintain at times and may require daily or weekly trips to the fish market, it's hard to compromise on taste," says Kiran, who admits to dreading going to the market.

"Jostling to hold your ground as you bargain over high-pitched voices and smelly cats is one of the most troublesome experiences.
Also, it's hard to ignore the stench and unhygienic surroundings around as you try to hold your breath and seal a deal."
These were the main reasons for this resident of Seven Bungalows to start Fishetarian, three months ago.
The dial-a-fish service ensures your favourite fish is delivered in a thermocol box with ice to your doorstep: cut and cleaned.
To make sure that the fish is fresh when it reaches you, it's stored at zero degrees temperature. Besides this, the staff at Fishertarian avoid stocking in bulk, keeping the orders to a minimum.
As of now, the free home delivery service has been introduced only for residents living in Andheri (W), including Oshiwara and Juhu. The minimum order is Rs 200. Orders can be placed on the same day.
