Two Samajwadi Party (SP) workers were on Thursday allegedly assaulted by MNS and Shiv Sena activists in the northwestern suburb of Jogeshwari, police said.

Two Samajwadi Party (SP) workers were on Thursday allegedly assaulted by MNS and Shiv Sena activists in the northwestern suburb of Jogeshwari, police said.


SP member Kasim Ansari and one more party worker were verbally abused and beaten up by MNS and Shiv Sena activists, police officials attached to the Andheri MIDC police station claimed.


Ansari was on his way to the SP party office in Jogeshwari when he was attacked and assaulted.


A complaint has been lodged against the accused, they said adding no arrests have been made so far. Further investigation were on, police said.
