It was earlier hinted that the ‘Walk The Line’ star was in line to play a ‘major villain’ in the blockbuster sequel, however, it is still unclear if Warner Bros approached Phoenix for the said role, Metro.co.uk reported.
Batman v Superman, which is set to hit the box office in July 2015, will feature Ben Affleck as Batman, Henry Cavill as Superman and Israeli actress Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman.
