After a few hours of high drama, Salman Khan drove down from his Panvel farmhouse with his family so he could spend his girlfriend Katrina Kaif's birthday with her.
The actress was almost going to celebrate her birthday minus the beau last night.

A source in Salman Khan's family confirmed the recent developments and added, "Yes, all the Khan brothers and their sister Arpita attended Katrina's birthday party at." Katrina cajoled Salman to attend her birthday.


"Her close friend, designer Ana Singh, Aamir Khan (with wife Kiran), Ranbir Kapoor with Deepika Padukone were also invited to the party at Olive's  in Bandra," adds the source.

An insider tells all, "Salman and his family were at their Panvel farmhouse and he was very keen that Kat join them on her birthday. But she was shooting for Raj Kumar Santoshi's Ajab Prem Ki Gajab Kahani during a regular 9 am to 6 pm shift and it wasn't possible for her to drive down to Panvel (over two-three hours away from Mumbai, depending on traffic) in the evening after pack-up, party till the wee hours and then drive back in the morning to her shoot. So the birthday girl refused to join the 'Khan'daan. That upset Salman and they had a small tiff on that issue. He refused to understand why she couldn't sacrifice her shoot for a day to spend some time with him and his family." Sallu didn't like the fact that she chose her work over her personal life.

Another reason why Kat decided to stay back in Mumbai was because her mom and sister Isabelle have flown down to Mumbai from London to be with her. "Katrina was thrilled to have them in the city on her birthday and didn't want to be surrounded with people at a big party. She wanted to have a cosy dinner with her mum and sis. Naturally Salman and his friends were a little miffed."
