Akshay Kumar has been known to have a huge shoe fetish. And since money is no bar for the actor, he recently purchased a pair of footwear designed by Christian Louboutin that apparently cost him a whopping Rs 3 lakh.

According to a source, procuring the New York-based designer’s creation was the brainchild of Akki’s trainer Jennifer and was arranged by designer Komal Shahani. Komal has styled him in his forthcoming film Khiladi 786. The film is the actor’s co-production with Himesh Reshammiya.

A source says, “Akshay is very fond of shoes and he loved the design. The shoes went well with his character as they are golden with spikes and this is his most prized possession currently.

He has worn the same pair in some portions of the film.”  Rakesh Upadhaya, creative producer of the film confirms, “Yes, the shoes were sourced by Jennifer and Komal from a New York-based designer.”
