'Shwas' bags seven awards

The Alpha Marathi channel, from the bouquet of Zee Network, announced the winners of the fifth Cinthol Alpha Gaurav 2004 at a glitzy event held at the NSE Complex, Goregaon (E) on Feb 8 .

Winning these awards has been good for the film and will help it reach a wider audience, but what is important is the marketing of Shwas and we are working on it now. We plan to release our film in theatres across Maharashtra by April, says Sandeep Sawant, the man behind Shwas.

Shwas won awards for the best actor, film, director, screenplay, dialogues, editing and child artiste. The evening revolved around the theme Mee Mumbaikar performed by Mahesh Manjrekar, Resham Seth, Sanjay Narvekar, Sachin Khedekar, and manyothers.

Seen enjoying the evening were Vilasrao Deshmukh, Chitaranjan Kolhatkar, Ashok Saraf, Suresh Wadkar and Nivedita Joshi among others from the field of entertainment and politics.
