‘We Will Continue To Fly’ Says US After Jet-Drone Collision, Russia Responds

The Russian and US defense ministers held a phone call on March 15 after the drone crash incident. A US military drone crashed over the Black Sea in an incident that Washington called “unsafe” and “unprofessional”. As per the US, Russian Su-27 aircraft damaged the propeller of an American MQ-9 "Reaper" drone. The US has taken a stern stance that it would “continue to fly and to operate wherever international law allows”. On the other hand, Russia claimed that the American drone was heading towards Russian-held territory. This is the first such instance since the outbreak of the Russia-Ukraine conflict a year ago.

US ‘Spy Drone’ And Russian Jet Collide Over Black Sea, Pentagon Responds

A US military MQ-9 surveillance drone crashed into the Black Sea on March 14. The incident happened as the drone was intercepted by the Russian fighter jets Su-27s. It was the first such incident since Russia's invasion of Ukraine over a year ago. The instance drew condemnation from the White House and the Pentagon. US Military said that the Russian fighter jets dumped fuel on the MQ-9, trying to damage it. However, the Russian Defence Ministry said that its aircraft had come into contact with the drone. It said that the drone had crashed after "sharp manoeuvring" and was detected near the Crimea peninsula. External Affairs Minister Dr S Jaishankar Responds To US F-16 Package For Pakist

External Affairs Minister Dr S Jaishankar on September 25 raised questions about the "merits" of the US-Pakistan relationship and a relationship with Islamabad that has not served the 'American Interest'. He was addressing an event organised by the Indian American Community in Washington. "It’s a relationship that has neither ended up serving Pakistan well nor serving the American interests," Jaishankar said at an event organized by the Indian American community in Washington. Dr Jaishankar made this remark after the External Affairs Minister was questioned by one of the audiences on the US decision on the F-16 package for Pakistan.
