One of the initiatives that could attract attention is the introduction of 3D-based city planning under the Panaji Smart City Mission. The technology allows planners to use advanced digital modelling to visualise city growth, plan roads and utilities, and improve the design of public infrastructure. Urban sustainability is another area where several developments have taken place. Alongside infrastructure and housing, livelihood initiatives have also expanded across the state. Over 1,178 self-help groups have received support under urban livelihood missions, enabling women and community groups to develop small enterprises and strengthen economic independence.
In the past, Vishwajit Rane has emphasised the importance of infrastructure development in improving regional opportunities. Speaking about development needs in areas such as Sattari, he had highlighted how stronger infrastructure can support local growth and connectivity.
