Entrepreneur and automobile enthusiast Mahipal Singh, Founder of the 8990 Luxury Car Club Foundation, has marked a major milestone for India's luxury automobile community by bringing together 250 luxury cars carrying the same â8990' vehicle registration number in Lucknow.
The landmark gathering took place at Ramada Hotel, Lucknow, on 13 August 2026, bringing hundreds of automobile enthusiasts together around one distinctive identity - 8990.
The gathering was adjudicated by the World Book of Records UK for displaying the largest gathering of 250 luxury cars bearing the same vehicle registration number â8990'.
The achievement represents an important chapter in Mahipal Singh's vision of transforming a shared passion for luxury automobiles into an organised and closely connected community.
The gathering featured an impressive lineup of premium automobiles, but what made the occasion distinctive was the common â8990' registration identity connecting all 250 participating vehicles.
Recognising the achievement, World Book of Records Chartered Officers Rajesh Shukla and Rajeev Shrivastava presented the official certificate to Mahipal Singh, Founder of 8990 Luxury Car Club Foundation.
Speaking after receiving the recognition, Mahipal Singh said, "This world record is a proud moment for every member of the 8990 family.
